Arjun Kapoor turned 28 in style! A grand bash was held by cousin Sonam Kapoor at her residence.

Arjun's Gunday co-star, Priyanka Chopra made it to the event despite the huge loss she recently had. This rockstar also started working on 'Mary Kom' just within a week of her dad's death. Way to go PeeCee!

im not really a die hard pc fan but all u people picking on her disgust me.
its her father who died...she will always be living with that for the rest of her life but that doesnt mean that she should stop living her life..and in which way does she look like she was "partying" ....she doesnt look like she was...u can see it in her pix..she is still sad....maybe she had just gone there to wish her friend a happy birthday!!! what the hell is wrong in that???? god...u judgement people piss me off!
----------------------

Oh god, stop it finally!
Why does she appears at the party? Arjun would have understand if she had congratulated him on phone. But she rather wants to be photographed "suffering".
All fake! Disgusting attention seeker!

    She celebrates parties again?
But don`t wonder. Her whole "Daddy`s lil girl" fuss was for promo only. To put pics on Twitter from ill father was disgusting. Such a thing is completely private.
But this type of promotion she has learned from SRK. He's just advertising with his family.
And he is just as dishonest with the feelings of his family. Sad!

she probably went there to wish him happy birthday and leave. She usually does that. People invite her and she gracious enough to attend it. And wassup with you guys commenting how she should grieve etc. Its HER father's death. Do you really want her to keep on grieving??!! heck even her own father wouldn't want that. She needs to move on and she's clearly trying to do so. So stop judging jeez! be strong PC. Its so obvious she looks so tired. Mary Kom will be an epic, her dedication to her dad

I lost my father too and I speak this from personal experience.

Everybody mourns in a different way. Most people carry on with their regular lives and do not like to share their grief with the public. Dealing with the loss of a parent or any loved one is personal. It is really nobody's business how one should mourn the loss.

Would people have felt happy if she broke down every 5 minutes and tweeted about how miserable she is feeling without her father? I guess that is what everyone wants. We all love bechari types, dont we?

Some anon here is talking about why they should care about her father's death when she doesn't. Well, they are right. They really shouldn't care about Dr. Chopra's death, because he is not their father. He is Priyanka's father. Only she knows what she is going through. And its perfectly ok for her to be seen out weeks after his death. This is what her father would have wanted. I know my father would have been very happy if I had moved on quickly in life.

Please post this Pinkvilla. Its bad enough when you guys get selective about posting comments, but will allow anons to troll away to glory.

Thanks to anonymous who said PC's friends n family must have encouraged her to go! Arjun lost his mom recently so even he must have asked her to attend. The pain n agony one goes through losing a parent, is inconsolable. Sometimes getting out and mingling with others eases the pain. Happy to see her make that attempt. None of our business anyways to make comments on how she handles her pain. Are we there to console and hug her in her privacy? No right?
Ours is a society which falls for loud crying and whaling, whether its genuine or not. Time to change!

"i would not like to criticize how someone grieves, but in this instance it really shocks me that you can go partying like barely a fortnight after your own father, who you profess to love so much dies. at least be respectful and observe a minimum 40 day mourning period where you don't go to parties but can go to work and such"

----> If you "would not like to criticize how someone grieves" then you wouldn't have done it. But you did. Secondly, where did you get this 40 day window that you are trying to impose on her? And do you really think it's practical for people to take 40 days off from work when someone dies? What kind of a job allows 40 days bereavement leave

dude what pain. she has moved on and already recovered enough to go partying. not to work, but for a PARTY, that too not even for a close family member or something. i would not like to criticize how someone grieves, but in this instance it really shocks me that you can go partying like barely a fortnight after your own father, who you profess to love so much dies. at least be respectful and observe a minimum 40 day mourning period where you don't go to parties but can go to work and such

Totally agree with you, those celebrities r such fake dramebaaz especially this woman, why should we care for her father's death if she doesn't

Well I don't like to judge unnecasarily but even I felt they are so fake people, her dad died on 11 june and after JUST 15 days or 2 weeks later she goes to parties. and I thought she was a ''daddy's girl'' only the fans keep saying ''so strong PC Wow'' etc, I don't think they even care... Umm shes just gone out. Who cares, what is the big deal? If everyone sees her crying in public, would that make everyone think she's more sincere? Give me a break. She needs to get out of the house and have a life again, otherwise she won't ever move on. Leave the girl alone.

What is wrong with you people? Everyone is different, some people prefer to do things just to get their mind off things. Just because she went to a birthday party does not mean she doesn't care about her fathers death. Like she said her father would have wanted her to carry on with her life and she is doing that. Family members die but you have to learn to deal with it and she is doing exactly that. Stop being so damn immature.

I am sure her mom and friends must have encouraged her to go out to divert her mind. Every person deals with grief differently. Some like to be left alone while some like lots of people around them. No point being so judgemental. Just because she is a celebrity she is being clicked.

when these people go to their parties, they literally go for 10 minutes to show their face and support their co-stars and friends, and if they're really out for a good time then they have fun and party.

Before judging people on how they grieve or mourn, please think!

Maybe this helps her move on or forget about it, maybe this is her way of dealing with pain and keeping herself happy and not undergo depression. And anyway, in one sense, her father was suffering BIG time here on Earth, the man has gone to a much better place with less pain.

She looks so sad. I wish she could take some proper time off to mourn and grieve. She really needs a break, but Bollywood doesn't pause for anyone. I wish her all the best.

i don't get it. no one is forcing her to go partying. she has decided to go to a party on her own. why do you say bollywood pauses for no one. life doesn't stop for everyone else just because her dad died. they are allowed to throw parties. it is her choice to attend or not, especially so soon after a tragedy, i am surprised to see the first event she attends is a party.
